Edinburgh

The capital of Scotland, Edinburgh is renowned for its rich history and culture and one of the most iconic landmarks is Edinburgh Castle.

 Mary Queen of Scots

Mary Queen of Scots

Queen of Scotland from 1542 until her forced abdication in 1567, Mary Queen of Scots is a famous historical figure.  The 2018 film to document her life was premiered at Edinburgh Castle and H.AZEEM London was tasked with creating a piece of jewellery to commemorate the occasion.

 A Love Story

A Love Story

Our design team were inspired by the love story between Lord Darnley and Mary Queen of Scots.  Luckenbooth brooches were a popular romantic gift during the 16th Century and it was believed that a Luckenbooth brooch was given by Mary Queen of Scots to Lord Darnley to symbolize love, protection and devotion.

The Brooch

Taking inspiration from the heart design of the traditional Luckenbooth brooch, our statement brooch is made in 925 Sterling Silver and incorporates a feathered heart design inspired by the decadent feather adornments popular with royalty during the period.

We have developed a great partnership with H.AZEEM London over the years, we appreciate their attention to detail and their creative approach in developing us some wonderful inspiring jewellery for many of our shops located across Scotland, including our Crown Jewel shop inside Edinburgh Castle.
